We are seeking an Activities Coordinator to make a real difference to our service user’s lives within our home for older people living with dementia at Townfield and Coach House.

This is an exciting opportunity to really get to know our service users and provide them with a variety of stimulating activities that not only promote physical but also mental and social wellbeing. The opportunities are endless in terms of what activities you could implement. Examples include baking, clothes show, exercise classes, arts and crafts, dances etc but we would be interested to hear your ideas and suggestions.
Applicants must be able to work on a one to one basis or in a group with service users. You will need to be caring, energetic and organised in order to fulfill this role. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in organising activities for groups of people with a variety of needs and tastes. Candidates must have a current driving license and access to a vehicle during the day.
The role is to provide stimulation and encouragement to residents through entertainment, activities and building strong community links. The Candidate will help promote the home through functions and events as well as building good relationships with service users and their relatives. The hours of work are between 1pm and 4pm Monday to Friday, 16 hours per week. With the opportunity to work extra hours with individual service users on an ad-hoc basis.
Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure DBS. Disclosure expense will be met by applicant.
