Townfield & Coach House Care Home landed the good rating by the independent regulator following a 2 day unannounced inspection and positive reports from staff and residents of the home.
In the report, it stated: “People spoken with told us they felt safe and secure in the home. One person said “the staff are kind and look after me well. I have no complaints and another person commented “I think the staff are good. They treat me nicely” These comments were supported by relatives visiting the home. One relative told us, “I’m really happy with the home. I feel my (family member) is well looked after.”
Other positive points highlighted added that staff were receiving suitable and regular training to a good standard, and that residents said they had a good level of support from staff.
It continued: “People, Relatives and staff spoken with told us they were satisfied with the service provided at the home and the way it was managed, A Relative commented “I have been impressed with the home. They have been on the ball and I would recommend it to other people”
CQC’s Chief Inspector for Adult Social Care in the North, said “People are entitled to services which provide safe, effective, compassionate and high quality care. We assess services against five key questions – Is the service caring? Is the service effective? Is the service safe? Is the service well led? Is the service responsive? – and rate each question and the service overall.
“Where we find a service meets our characteristics of good or outstanding then we will rate accordingly.”
